With bathing suit season fastly approaching, I have to admit that I have begun thinking about losing weight and getting into better shape.  If you let it, it can be depressing.

I was reminded today that our beauty shouldn’t be measured by how tone our arms are or how flat our stomach is.  A truly beautiful woman is one that seeks to look like Christ.  So instead of looking to the latest and greatest diet pill to make you more beautiful, look to God’s Word.

For attractive lips,

speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes,

seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure,

share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair,

let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.

For poise,

walk with the knowledge you’ll never walk alone.
